JOIN THE CRUSADE

It’s all too easy to get lost in the humdrum of motherhood with its daily demands, and forget the higher, holier calling. I once heard a radio host describe parenthood in this way: "The romantic idea of having a baby is beautiful. The reality, however, is like having a drunk college roommate—they throw up all over the place, fall asleep in weird places, and don't pay rent!"

Funny, with shades of truth; however, this individual skipped over the simply breathtaking aspects of motherhood and failed to recognize that what makes it hard, is also what makes it beautiful. The notion that a devoted woman would give herself to motherhood so selflessly and voluntarily, is beautiful. Motherhood is a deep expression of enduring love.

"When the real history of mankind is fully disclosed, will it feature the echoes of gunfire or the shaping sound of lullabies? The great armistices made by military men or the peacemaking of women in homes and in neighborhoods? Will what happened in cradles and kitchens prove to be more controlling than what happened in Congress?" â€”Neil A. Maxwell

Child bearing and/or rearing, is no joke. I personally invite you who proudly bear the title of "Mom," to come join the crusade! Because, there’s strength in numbers—among this circle it’s called The Morce (mom-force).
